perplexed by this post because the heritage-post blog here is not the heritageposts (plural, without a hyphen) blog people would assume it is, and the date it’s giving is incorrect, but the date it gives isn’t wrong enough to be funny and also this post wouldn’t be especially odd for the normal heritageposts to reblog because it is quite old anyways. so i am not completely sure what was being gone for here. Anyway this is probably why tumblr should have more obvious built in timestamps because now a bunch of people think the spiders georg post was made like half a month before it actually was
this heritage-post blog is quite baffling because it does reblog old posts but i guess the “joke” is it just. doesn’t care what date they were made and makes one up on it’s own, because it reblogs multiple posts where the original post is deleted (thus the date of origin is lost) and gives a specific date on those, and when it does reblog posts where the op is intact it gets the date wrong by up to 3 years
there is literally not a single correct date on their blog it’s always off by at least a couple months
but like the posts it reblogs are like still pretty old in the first place so there’s not really any joke to giving them a slightly wrong date of origin. they’re just kind of doing this. bizarre
they identify a post from THIS YEAR as being from 2018
but again like not a wrong enough date to be funny?? not a day that would have any real significance to the post (the ban the post is about went into question on december 17th, not the 28th) they just kind of went “Ok now i’ve decided this post from april is actually from like 3 years ago. Laugh(?)” Is their goal laughter? Try as i might i cannot discern what the joke is
